Georgetown, KY & Austin, TX (Jan 18, 2012) - Global Environmental Services is proud to announce the release of an online quote request form for customers to request a quote for e-Waste Services to recycle their organization's e-Waste in complete compliance with all state, local and federal regulations for zero landfill e-Waste and e-Recycling.

The State of Illinois is just the latest state to pass laws mandating zero landfill recycling of electronics in their state.  GES is proud to say that we have been providing these types of compliant e-Waste recycling programs for years.

GES is both R2 and e-Steward certified.  These certifications are voluntary for electronics recyclers as the industry has very little federal regulation. The R2 standard was developed by a group of stakeholders, but is now under the authority of ISRI or the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries. The e-Steward initiative was established by BAN or the Basel Action Network, which is a non-profit organization that is considered the “watchdog” of the electronics recycling industry. BAN, based in Seattle, Washington, promotes ethical electronics recycling and diligently aims to eliminate the exportation of hazardous materials to developing countries.
