This holiday season, GES has decided to participate in a couple of note worthy philanthropic ventures. With the economy down, the need to give is exceptionally high. We are collecting canned goods and non-perishable food products to be donated to the AMEN house, which works to collect foods to be donated to these needy families in the hope that they will have a better holiday experience. All GES employees are encouraged to participate in this program to help out their neighbors.
GES is also participating in the local "Share the Joy" program by sponsoring a family in need. There are over 470 families in need in the Georgetown/Scott County area. Employees of GES can participate by volunteering their time to package gifts collected by various donors and then delivering them to the receiving family.To compensate for their time, GES will give vacation hours to volunteering employees. It's a great way for GES and its employees to help others and become involved in the community.
